Fellowship Opportunities
Friendship Circles - Small groups of women gather together for fellowship and devotion on a regular basis throughout the year. New groups are forming all the time. Contact Gaye Meyers (gaye@satx.rr.com )if you would like to be in a group.
Girls Night Out - Informal gatherings of fun and fellowship take place throughout the year in various homes and venues. Nursery will be provided for these outings.
Moms and Kids Playgroup - Mothers of young children gather together during the week at the church playground for a time of play and fellowship. Coordinator: Holly Kennedy (dkennedy326@nc.rr.com )
Spiritual Growth Opportunities
Bible Studies - During the school year, bible studies are offered to women at various times during the week. Studies vary from season to season, and are announced in advance, giving all an opportunity to sign up. God has blessed us with many gifted teachers; it is our prayer that every woman would take advantage of one of these studies. In the fall of 2011 we will be studying Nancy Guthrie's, The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis.
Discipling/Mentoring - "Older" women in the church are available to disciple/mentor "younger" women in the church. Contact Gaye Meyers (gaye@satx.rr.com) for more info.
Summer Studies - Six to eight week bible and/or book studies are offered during the summer on various days and times. Some studies may be co-ed.
Developing a Heart for Christmas - A time of fellowship and devotion is combined with a service project to the community at Christmastime. The purpose is to help foster a heart for Christ during a season fraught with shopping and "busyness." Dates TBD.
Sip and See - Twice a year the women of Christ Presbyterian gather together in fellowship to welcome our newest covenant members (babies) to the church. This event usually takes place in a home where our little ones are "showered" with love, a bible, and a book of prayers from the women in the church. Coordinator: Khaki Lano (khakilano@gmail.com)
Women's Ministry Conference - Speakers are brought in on a yearly basis to offer spiritual nourishment and refreshment to the women in our church and the community at large. Mark your calendars now for our 1st Women's Conference next spring, March 2 & 3rd, 2012!!! Nancy Guthrie, author of
Hoping for Something Better and
